Victor Cruz was a big receiving threat all night, leading the way to a late victory for the Giants over the 49ers, 20-17 in San Francisco. With the win, New York moves on to Super Bowl XLVI.

Eli Manning put together a solid game, going 32 for 58 with 316 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Alex Smith went 12 of 26 with 196 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions for the 49ers.

Ahmad Bradshaw was a key factor for the Giants, running all over the 49ers for 74 yards on 20 carries in addition to six receptions for 52 yards. Cruz was a top receiver, catching 10 passes for 142 yards.

The New York defense was the major reason for the victory, giving up 150 yards rushing and 178 passing. They got to Smith for three sacks.

49ers tight end Vernon Davis gave a standout effort with 112 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Running back Frank Gore also had a noteworthy performance with 74 rushing yards and 45 receiving.
